The real cost

Bad security is expensive.

Most companies send a warm body. We send a trained operator. Here is what property owners pay when security is treated like an afterthought.

$30K+ average break-in cost

Theft, damage, lost rent and downtime — one incident wipes out months of margin.

Fire-watch violations shut you down

One missed compliance post can close a building until the system is restored and re-inspected.

Liability exposure follows the property

A single incident becomes part of the property record, affecting insurance, leases and resale.

Where it started

Two careers. One command.

Brandon Muse has stood post since 2007. Daniel Mays entered security in 2015 and launched his first security company in 2020. Both ran their own commands — and in 2026 they founded Summit Force Security Group, combining the best of both into one Sacramento-headquartered operator.

Brandon Muse starts in security — undercover retail operations, patrol contracts and critical-site posts across Northern California.

2015

Daniel Mays starts in security — working posts across retail, grocery, warehouse and event assignments in the Sacramento region while coaching youth in his own neighborhood.

Daniel launches his first security company, running his own accounts, his own officers and his own post orders from the ground up.

Daniel entered security in 2015 — retail, grocery, warehouse and event posts across the region — and launched his first security company in 2020. In 2026 he founded Summit Force Security Group and leads it from its Sacramento headquarters. On his own time he coaches local youth and feeds the homeless out of pure passion, and he funds small scholarships that put underprivileged young people through the 40-hour guard card and training so they can start a real career.

“Coaching is one thing — but if we're in the community, we'd better be good to the community.”

Brandon Muse

Quoted by TIME · KCRA 3 arson response

Brandon has stood post since 2007 and ran his own security company before joining forces with Daniel. His record covers undercover retail operations, organized retail crime cases, PBID and HOA patrol with Paladin Security, critical-infrastructure posts at the Wells Fargo Roseville data center since 2009, and international site monitoring in the HP Roseville GSOC since 2016 — including the HP Texas campus flood response. He also worked security at the CAL FIRE command post during the Tubbs Fire and a protection detail for Congressman Kevin Kiley on a day of heightened alert. Today he trains Summit Force officers on incident reporting and de-escalation.

Nineteen years of posts

Brandon's record: undercover to command post.

Retail loss prevention, patrol contracts, critical infrastructure, global monitoring, wildfire emergency response and dignitary protection — experience now baked into how Summit Force writes post orders and trains officers.

Our mission

Guarding people. Not just property.

A community-first security company. Compassion is the job description: outreach on post, help at the curb, and scholarships that put local people to work.

Compassion for people

Compassion for people

We're compassionate about people and sensitive to the unhoused. Treating neighbors like people — not problems — is written into our post orders. On his own time, Daniel feeds the homeless and coaches youth out of pure passion.

Guard-card scholarships

Guard-card scholarships

We fund small scholarships so underprivileged youth can complete the 40-hour BSIS guard card and training.

De-escalation first

De-escalation first

We are not bullies with badges. Officers are trained to serve, help and defuse — force is the last resort.

Hybrid coverage · pay for patrol time, not idle hours

Round-the-clock presence. Without the round-the-clock bill.

A guard standing in one spot all night is mostly idle hours you paid for. Hybrid coverage buys you active patrol time instead — from a five-minute deterrent walk-through to several hours on property — dropped in at randomized times so nobody can clock the pattern.

Five minutes to several hours

You pick the dose. Quick lock-up and amenity sweeps, or a full evening presence during your hot hours — Friday and Saturday nights, move-out week, rent day, holidays.

Randomized visits

No predictable schedule to memorize. Marked units and uniformed officers arrive at different times every night, so the property reads as watched around the clock.

Real coverage on the record

GPS-verified checkpoints, photo reports and time-stamped logs after every pass — you see exactly what your dollars bought.

Built to your budget

Shared patrol pools across neighboring properties, partial-week schedules, hot-hours-only coverage. Ask how we can build a plan around your number — we want security to be reachable for everyone.

Never hesitate to talk pricing with us. Tell us your budget and we will build the plan around it.
